Deshaun Watson hints at recruiting DeAndre Hopkins

Dude this would be pretty cool if they can make it happen, but I don't think it will. Cardinals could consider trading the standout wideout DeAndre Hopkins, who previously played with Deshaun Watson in Houston. Recently Watson was on a podcast and discussed Hopkins and that he'd be in the same area this weekend as Hopkins. That in itself doesn't mean anything, could just be old friends meeting up for a hangout. Or it could be Watson trying to bring Hopkins to the Browns.

But would we need Hopkins? I don't think we'd be able to pay the amount he'd garner.

You can read more about this story below:

We don't need Hopkins, he'd want a ton of money and I don't think we need to go in that direction when we already have Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones leading the wideouts, but all we need is one more good WR to set the top 3. I'm sure we'll find a suitable pick for the #3 spot. But I don't think it'll be Hopkins.

Honestly, I could see it working if Hopkins was willing to take a pay cut to make it happen. But that depends on the relationship he has with Watson. Will he take a pay cut for the chance to possibly win? He has to weigh the options, because what if the Browns suffer another losing season next time around?

The big reason I'd welcome it, is because he and Watson have chemistry that works. The years they were together on the Texans were probably their best seasons respectively.

And having that chemistry again, could help.

Sounds like he's still set on talking with him. No idea if he will actually join us. It sounds like him and Watson are buds, so maybe he can get him here for a cheaper price. There is massive potential with this team already, he could add to it.

Hopkins on the Browns, color me intrigued. I think if it helps Watson perform better having him around, I'm all for it.

I could see Watson playing much better with Hopkins around. Those two were a connection back in Houston, and would be if they teamed up again.

Dude I'd be down for that. I think he would be a perfect fit for us, and Hopkins would def thrive here.

If it takes getting Hopkins in here to make Watson perform better, than I say it might be worth it. But it better be worth if we end up paying a ton for him.

No thanks. I am in the boat that thinks we don't need this dude. Yeah he may help Watson out there, but I like to believe we have a core of receivers ready and willing to play. And they can probably land another good WR for much cheaper.

Yes thank you! I don't think we need Hopkins. I know he's a great talent, but it would just overcrowd this team with too many good WRs and I don't want to see our currently group of receivers left out.

I don't see them bringing Hopkins over, and I don't think they really should. It'd cost them a ton to get him, and really we don't need him imo.

I get why Watson would want to bring him in, but I think it only causes more issues with our cap space. We don't need him like Anton said. It feels pointless to even consider it at this point.
