Baker Mayfield and some other Browns offensive players will get together in Texas this week

The reason why? Well it's because they're skipping OTAs for the offensive side of the team. It's because the NFL Players Association want to boycott the way things are with OTA's right now. I guess it's a way to get training done, but not through the OTAs? Idk, but I guess JC Tretter, the center for the Browns, is actually the president of the organization right now, and that's why players are following through with not showing for OTAs.

What's this story with the players association being against the OTAs? I thought most teams really needed this to help players get to know each other and help grow the team. But I might be reading it all wrong.

Is it because of something to do with covid? And they're worried going to OTAs will cause problems?
