What do you guys think of this? According to Bart Scott and his opinions, he believes the Browns don't believe in Baker Mayfield, as that's why his contract hasn't been settled on yet.

I think Baker is one of the best QBs we can have. Kevin Stefanski proved that as he was able to mold him into something much better. He's not the greatest QB around, but he's a capable QB who can get the job done. And I think he will bring us places.

But, do you agree with Bart Scott? Do you think the Browns are taking their time because they aren't 100% sold on him?

There are so many other reasons to consider.... Neither Mayfield nor the Browns want to be the first of the 2018 QB class to sign an extension... Mayfield knows he can cop a bigger payday with another playoff run... Cleveland has him locked up for 2 more years, or more with a franchise tag... Mayfield says all the right things about letting the contract take care of itself while his coaches continue to build him up.

I think Cleveland believes in him but can afford to hold off as long as Mayfield isn't worried about it. It's a nothing burger from Scott.

Yeah I agree, it seems like they're just taking their time, and there's really no need to rush anything. I think they know Baker is their man, and I think Baker knows that too and knows his team will figure it out.

Bart Scott has no clue what he's talking about right here. The Browns love Baker and they're just taking things slow, as he is. Why rush when he's in no rush himself?

I agree. I think both sides were just taking their time. I think each side knew whatever deal came, all parties would agree. I can see that being the case here.

Bart Scott will be proven wrong in no time. Just wait and see! This is the Browns year.
Yup, he's just someone who isn't hype about Baker. I don't think he ever really thought much of him to be honest. Then again, a lot of people hated on Baker early on. Yeah he had a rough couple seasons, but he's shaping up to prove the world wrong, that he's better than those seasons. Those shouldn't define him anymore.

A lot don't believe in Baker, yet he did better last year and we had a winning season. Something is going good, so lets see where it takes us this year. Bart Scott doesn't know what he's talking about.
