Jets QB Aaron Rodgers out for the season with Achilles tear

What a rough one for the Jets and even more so for QB Aaron Rodgers, as this was expected to be a new era in New York, and yet it ends after the Jets first drive, with Aaron Rodgers going down with what everyone thought was an ankle injury, but after an MRI, it is being said to be a torn Achilles and he will be out the rest of the season.

Jets just lost their season before it even began. I do feel bad for Rodgers though, to go out on your first drive has got to suck. I wonder if this means this is it for his career.

For some reason I thought he was going to get hurt, and here we are. I feel bad for the guy, but maybe it's time to hang it up.

I'm not a fan of Rodgers, but I do feel for the guy. No one deserves to see their season cut short like this, especially at the start of the season. I think this is it for him too, no way he can make a comeback after this.

Do you think this is it for Rodgers? Or will he somehow end up with one final season to try for a super bowl run again?

You jinxed him dude!

nah, but seriously, it's probably time for him to call it a career. I don't think there's any way for him to come back from this.

I watched the game as I was curious to see how he'd do, and did not expect him to get injured like that. It didn't even look like that bad, but after further replay, it showed he has stood in the spot and I guess the force of the push caused it. I don't know. Here's the video of it:

I'm thinking this means the end of his career. I can't see him coming back from this.
I don't think even he can come back from this. He will be 40 next year, and I don't know how many seasons he has left. This could be a career ending injury too, who knows if he'll fully recover in a year.
