McGregor breaks tibia against Poirier

The recent fight with McGregor and Poirier didn't go down 100% how fans hoped. McGregor went down with a broken ankle/tibia, which gave a tko victory to Poirier. And news has come out, that McGregor may have had an injury before the fight.

Anyway, I hope he makes a full recovery and fast. I want to see him fight again.
 
Yeah, saw it live. Was a bit rough, but didn't look like some of the other bad leg injuries in recent memory. Sucks when a fighter wins because the other fighter made the wrong move. Never a fan of that, but a win is a win, and you gotta take it.
 
I watched it live too, felt bad for the dude as he put his all into that fight, same with Poirier. They both fought hard that night and I wish it ended differently. But, don't worry, these two will face off again.

Yeah, sucks because I wanted this fight to last longer. It ended in the first round, so we didn't get to see a whole lot. And for sure, these two will meet again, maybe with Poirier as champion.
 
It sucks, but that's the nature of this sport. SO many fighters in recent memory, have fallen to a broken leg or ankle, and sometimes it's on their own. Like with Silva and him breaking his leg on a leg kick, or that one fighter who recently broke his tibia from a leg kick. It's a dangerous sport and injuries happen all the time.

Idk if McGregor will be back to 100%. I feel like he will be done after this.
 
I think Poirier even noticed it was going to happen, and I think he kind of backed off on him a bit. Worked pretty well.
 
He'll live to fight another day, and before you know it, he'll be back in the Octagon, and hopefully 100% healthy.
