NBA opens tampering investigation into sign-and-trade deals involving Lonzo Ball, Kyle Lowry

This could all be due to the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls, attempting to strike a deal on trades of Lonzo Ball and Kyle Lowry, but supposedly were working with both players before they were allowed to. And I guess they could fine each team up to $10 million because it's considered tampering?

Read about it below. What do you think though?
 
Wow, did not see this coming. I don't get the fuss about meeting with players and doing trade talks earlier, as long as you don't actually start the process. But then again, I suppose that can be looked at like it's starting the process.
 
I don't think anything is going to come of this. I think they'll move on, because I have a feeling they will deny everything. Unless there's clear proof of them contacting teams before the opening of free agency, I don't think anything will happen.
