I would like to preface this by letting y'all know that I am not a sports fan. I mean, I have a "favorite" team, but I don't follow them. I'm more of a nerd. Video games, movies, but mainly books. I have never been to an NFL game in my life, as I have never held any interest in going.
However ...
My father-in-law has been a lifelong Browns fan. My wife (his daughter) has mentioned a few times over the years that she would like to get him a ticket to a game. Well, this year, we were able to afford a couple of tickets. We will be attending the home game against the NY Jets (my team). I assume the parking situation is going to be atrocious, as will the lines to get in the gate.
I would like some advice, if anyone is willing/able, on what time we should arrive (game time is set at 2015) to avoid as much chaos as we can, how much we should expect to spend on food/snacks, is there a concession stand or someone walking around with food., etc. Please excuse my ignorance in this, as I'm clueless for the reasons stated in the preface. I am also trying to figure out how to surprise him with this, since he lives in NE Ohio, and we live in North-Central Ohio. How would I explain taking him up to Cleveland since we live over an hour south?
I mean, I assume there will be chaos, as there usually is at a concert.
As for those who would wonder why I claim to like the NY Jets --- I can only assume it stems from the cult classic "Flash Gordon" movie released in 1980, where the main protagonist introduces himself as - "Flash Gordon, Quarterback, New York Jets." I mean, that is the only reason I can think of. My dad liked the Browns and Packers, but he died 22 years ago, so ... Yeah
Anyways, thank you again, and I appreciate it.
