When asked recently about contract negotiations, Baker had one answer to share:

So it's clear he isn't even in the picture when it comes to the negotiations, as he's focussed on the game right now. I'm guessing both sides are good and will come to a quick agreement when the time comes.

That's good, that means he's not too worried about the money. I think he knows he'll agree to any contract they give him. I imagine he wants a pretty long contract, maybe 5-6 years. Wonder if he'll get that.
 
Good on him. He's letting his agents handle negotiations. Which is what I would do too. If I'm already rich, I would just ask for a fair offer going forward. But idk what Baker wants, he may want more, we don't know.
 
When you're that rich, contract conversations don't always need you. His agent probably knows what Baker wants, and will get it for him as best he can.
 
Good, he shouldn't worry so much about the contract when he knows he's going to make bank and then some. He also has his commercials and other stuff going on.
 
All I want him to do is win. So if he can deliver on that, I will be happy. I think players that focus on pay moreso, aren't there to win, they want the money first. And I can understand if they're not being paid well, but if they're making tons of money and still want more, well then I lose respect for ya.
 
That's all he should worry about, is focussing on the game and the next game. If he worries about money, then we already lost him.
