Blazers to Announce Chauncey Billups as Coach on Tuesday

Noice, news found from here - SI

It sounds like Chauncey Billups is going to be announced as the new head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers. I'm interested to see him coaching a team. He previously was the assistant coach for the Clippers. Do you think the Trail Blazers will win more with him as coach?
 
I think that's a good move on their part. Chauncey is a man of the game, he knows it through and through, so I think him as head coach for any team is a great idea.
 
He's gotten some heat recently because of past allegations. Why bring them up now? Especially when he's been working in this industry for so long. I think it's just people bringing up an issue right before someone is hired. They made no fuss when he was hired elsewhere before, why now?

Same with Jason Kidd I guess. It's like, why didn't you bring this news up about Kidd or Billups when they were hired years ago? Like, it feels like a push to cancel them or something.
 
Even with all the fuss around him, I don't think this team will change their mind. Having Billups as coach, will be good for this team, and he will teach them well.
