Greeny has a message for Baker Mayfield detractors (Baker's Better than you think)

Exactly. Baker has done a lot for the Browns. He makes great points, about how in 4 seasons, he's helped make this Browns a winning team. So yeah, he had some hiccups starting out, but he's looking to be getting the hang of it now.

Greenberg makes a calm, sensible case for Baker. So, of course, a whole lot of unbelievers are ranting about what a jerk he is. The bottom line is results. Let's keep winning with Baker and see if the debate ever calms down.

That's the thing, I don't think they will ever calm down. I think people see Baker as a joke, and I think he will have to keep proving the naysayers wrong by playing good. If he can keep that up, I hope one day he gets the respect he deserves.

This right here. I feel like he will forever be hated by sports casters. They think he's some scrub, but he's not. He's far from that.

Yeah, the fact that we've actually won games, and shown we can stick around, should be enough to push the detractors away a bit. But I suppose when they see the Browns, they think of their past. But, I think we're re-writing things and I think the Browns will soon be acknowledged as a good, or great team.

That's why I always back Baker, because he has proven he's not a slacker out there. He can compete and he's going to do exactly that this season. I honestly think the only way to overrule the detractors, is to win a Super Bowl. But many great QBs out there have ended their career without winning super bowls, and they get praise. But Baker gets so much hate and I don't get it.

yeah it doesn't make sense. The Browns are finally in a time where they are winning again, and that means a lot to myself and I'm sure a lot of you. And Baker has been in the middle of this. Whether you like him or not, you have to agree he is a great player and is bringing this Browns team back, but it's not just him, and I think that's how people see him.

I think people see him as one of those guys who is leading the pack, and isn't side by side them. But in reality, he doesn't work unless he has his supporting cast of characters. Without them, of course he couldn't do it. But, that's why he's able to win, because he has good talent around him, protecting him, and catching his passes.

Baker is better than what the haters say.

Couldn't have said it better my friend. Awesome!

I look at all the hate and I don't understand either. The dude was able to break the rookie-season passing-TD record held by Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson, and was able to bring a losing team out of the gutter. Yeah he wasn't perfect, but it was better than what the Browns had in years. Without him, I would argue this team would be back to their losing ways.

Bakers first season in, he brought a team that went 0-16 to 7-8-1. Not perfect, but also not bad for a rookie. Then in 2019, we did a little worse, but only went 6-10. But, we can blame that on Freddie Kitchens not melding well with the team as the new head coach. They let him go after that and brought in Kevin Stefanski, who helped Baker bring the Browns to their first winning season since 2007. They ended last season at 11-5.

So I am not seeing Baker as bad. He had it rough the season before last, but that could be blamed on a lot of factors. But he rebounded and had a great season last year. Let's give him a chance to show he's better than what they are saying.

Looks like some others are not seeing Baker as a good QB.

According to the article above, Baker was only able to secure one spot on a top 10 list, and that happened to be for arm strength. And they even say that he was underrated there too. I agree though, it doesn't make sense why he doesn't get a bit more praise. I think if he plays great this season, that should be enough proof of his abilities.
