Is Kevin Stefanski the big reason this team rebounded?

Before Kevin Stefanski came in as head coach, the Browns were on a 10 years losing season streak so to say. Since Stefanski took over, he was able to bring the Browns to an 11-5 season, plus a playoff win. Which was something we fans did not expect to see. Most of us expected much of the same, but yet, we were proven wrong.

I want to see this team have seasons like this moving forward. They need to keep it up. Because now that the fans have that taste of victory, we want it more and more now. :D

Anyway, is Kevin Stefanski the main reason?

There's no doubt Stefanski instills a sense of control and calm in the locker room, just as Berry reigns over a really smart and united front office. But I think the overall culture change reflects what Paul DePodesta has been trying to get the Haslams to buy into for years. Haslam believed in using confrontation to find new ideas, but you must have the ability to debate cooperatively and constructively. I'm sure the Browns' draft room, scout room, and coaches meetings are sometimes animated affairs, but any dissension is no longer leaked to the press. Everyone really seems to be on the same page. Stefanski's openness to ideas and experiments is a big part of it, for sure. But I would say it is DePodesta picking good people, even if he'd be the first to say those people should get to their share of the credit.
