Ronnie Harrison Fined For Week 1 Incident

But the Chiefs RB coach Greg Lewis didn't get fined or ejected, while Ronnie Harrison was ejected from the game and also was fined $12,128 for the incident. And bear in mind, Greg Lewis started it by pushing first.

I hope Greg Lewis eventually gets a fine for the push, because he shouldn't be putting his hands on players. If he hadn't pushed Harrison, I argue that this wouldn't have even happened, but he did and Harrison reacted accordingly. I think it only fair for the person instigating it, should also have been ejected and fined nearly the same amount.

But the NFL doesn't care, they do whatever the hell they want.

Yeah Greg Lewis should have been fined as well. I think their excuse is because they thought Harrison was trying to step on players, but he was trying to get out of that pileup, and then Lewis had to push and so he retaliated. What a joke.

The NFL is one sided sometimes and it really does show.

Yup, should have been fined and ejected as well. The double-standards are a bit messed up if you ask me. The dude was clearly the aggressor, and Harrison was just frustrated by it all. I hope he comes out and counters the fine, because that wasn't fair imo. If he is fined, the coach should be fined, as neither a player or coach should attack each other. It's only fair. Fine one, you gotta fine the other.

It's ridiculous that he was ejected and also fined for it. It kinda pissed me off when it happened, because there was no excuse for this to go the way it did. I bet if Lewis didn't push him, Harrison wouldn't have responded that way and we wouldn't even be talking about this. But no, Lewis had to start stuff, and couldn't finish it.

Yeah he should get a fine too, but we know how the NFL is these days. They see you retaliate, you get the fine. It's a joke. But they never seem to catch the person who does it first. No coach should be allowed to touch players by any means. They have more privilege in the fact that they can't hurt people as much as a football player can, so that's likely why Harrison got fined. He's probably considered a lethal weapon. But still, that doesn't give the right of a coach to lay hands on any player.

That coach should have been fined too, but the NFL won't bother with it. They will say that Harrison is bigger and more dangerous, so him pushing him was wrong. But the coach should get a fine at the least.

Good news on this, it looks like Lewis was also fined, but was an undisclosed amount. He sorta gave out an apology about it, basically saying he shouldn't have done it and should have known better. I think his argument was that he thought Harrison was stepping on one of his players, so he reacted accordingly. I'm just glad he was also fined for it. I hope it's near the same amount.

Harrison is appealing the fine.

Good, as he should. I'm glad he was fined too, but I doubt it was anywhere near what Harrison was fined. I think if anything, the NFL should lower the fine fee for Harrison, at least to match whatever Lewis was fined.

I'm glad Lewis got a fine as well. I'm kinda inclined to agree with the fine though. The coach should not have put his hand on any players, but Harrison, a much bigger man, should have known better not to shove a defenseless coach. Now I know he instigated it, but in that situation, Harrison needs to be smarter and understand he's a literal bulldozer compared to Lewis, who looks like he never played the sport of Football. Though I could be wrong on that. He's just a tiny man compared to him, so he could have easily hurt him.

I don't agree with the fine price, so I hope when he appeals he does get it cut down some. And I hope they acknowledge the fine Lewis had to pay.
